About David Hattner

David Hattner has built a national reputation as a conductor, educator, and advocate for new music. Since becoming Music Director of the Portland Youth Philharmonic in 2008, he has led more than 400 works in performance, championed over 30 commissioned works, and collaborated with distinguished artists and composers from across the United States. His work combines a commitment to artistic excellence with a passion for developing the next generation of musicians.
